With blessings of our Devis, Kuldevis and with profound inspiration from Swarasati mata, we have managed to put together this very simple website for our Gadher Parivar / Community to enjoy.  With time, we aim to add further information so that none of our treasured historical past as well as our goodness is lost in this ever changing world that we live in. 

Without our beliefs, culture, community, identity and language, .............we would be nothing but just one of many wandering around searching for something to adhere to  - that would be a real pity for our present and future generation as well as negligence on our part !

અમારા દેવી, કુલ્ડદેવીના આશીર્વાદ અને સ્વરાસતિ માતાથી ઊંડી પ્રેરણાથી, અમે અમારાપરિવાર / સમુદાયના આનંદ માટે આ અત્યંત સરળ વેબસાઈટ એકસાથે મૂકી દીધી છે. સમય સાથે, અમે વધુ માહિતી ઉમેરવાનું લક્ષ્ય રાખ્યું છે જેથી અમારા ભંડાર ઐતિહાસિક ભૂતકાળ અને અમારી ભલાઈનો ક્યારેય આ બદલાતી દુનિયામાં ખોવાઈ જાય કે અમે જીવીએ છીએ. અમારી માન્યતાઓ, સંસ્કૃતિ, સમુદાય, ઓળખ અને ભાષા વગર, અમારી વર્તમાન અને ભાવિ પેઢી તેમજ અમારા ભાગ પર બેદરકારી!

Gadher Parivar / Gadher Community  - UK and Worldwide

Gadher Parivar or Community Website is a non-profit making community website totally dedicated to promoting Gadher uniqueness.  Besides our surname, what unites us is our ancestral origin from the State of Gujarat, our historical past, as well as our ‘Kurdevis’ (also spelt as Kuldevis).  Our community members in UK are diaspora from various parts of the world and currently settled in the United Kingdom.  Similar communities exist in other countries too.  Gadher Parivar champions its own to grow personally, professionally, emotionally, and spiritually.  Our belief in inherent goodness, integrity, and enormous potential to help each other, while having fun at the same time, has allowed us to create a Parivar / Community for those who find joy in celebrating these goodness and getting together to pay homage to our ancestral Kurdevis.

Gadher પરિવાર / કોમ્યુનિટી - યુકે અને વર્લ્ડવાઇડ

પરિવાર અથવા સમુદાય એ બિન નફાકારક સમુદાય છે, જે Gadher વિશિષ્ટતાને પ્રોત્સાહન આપવા માટે સંપૂર્ણપણે સમર્પિત છે. અમારા ઉપનામ ઉપરાંત, શું અમારો જોડે છે ગુજરાત રાજ્ય,અમારા ઐતિહાસિક ભૂતકાળ, તેમજ અમારા 'કુર્દેવિસ' (પણ કુળદેવી તરીકેની જોડણી) માંથી અમારા પૂર્વજોનું મૂળ. યુકેમાં અમારા સમુદાયના સભ્યો વિશ્વના વિવિધ ભાગોમાંથી ડાયસ્પોરા છે અને હાલમાં તે યુનાઈટેડ કિંગડમમાં સ્થાયી થયા છે. સમાન સમુદાયો અન્ય દેશોમાં પણ અસ્તિત્વ ધરાવે છે.  Gadher પરિવાર વ્યક્તિગત, વ્યવસાયિક, ભાવનાત્મક રીતે અને આધ્યાત્મિક રીતે વધવા માટે પોતાની જાતને ચેમ્પિયન બનાવે છે. સહજ ભલાઈ, પ્રામાણિકતા અને એકબીજાને મદદ કરવા માટે પ્રચંડ સંભાવનામાં આપણી માન્યતા, તે જ સમયે મજા આવી રહી છે, અમને આ દેવતાને ઉજવણી કરવામાં અને અમારા માટે શ્રદ્ધાંજલિ અર્થે આનંદ મેળવવા માટે આનંદ મેળવનારા લોકો માટે એક પરિવાર / સમુદાય બનાવવાની અમને મંજૂરી છે. 

Vision

Gadher Parivar’s vision is to enrich the lives of each and every Gadher member and their families by nurturing the established foundations that have brought us together from different parts of the world to prosper in life while still maintaining a positive focus on community and family values. Working together we can continue to improve, enhance and protect our culture, heritage and religion and in doing so, it would help to ensure that our younger generation and the generation yet to come continue our efforts to further develop and strengthen our community whilst holding onto our roots and values.

Gadher પરિવારનું દ્રષ્ટિકોણ દરેક Gadher સભ્ય અને તેમના પરિવારોની સ્થાપના કરેલા ફાઉન્ડેશનોને જીવનમાં
સમૃદ્ધ બનાવવાનું છે, જેણે અમને જીવનના વિવિધ ભાગોમાંથી એકસાથે ભેગા કર્યા છે, જ્યારે સમુદાય અને
પરિવારના મૂલ્યો પર હકારાત્મક ધ્યાન કેન્દ્રિત કરે છે. એકસાથે કાર્યરત અમે અમારી સંસ્કૃતિ, વારસા અને ધર્મને
સુધારવા, વધારવા અને રક્ષણ આપવાનું ચાલુ રાખી શકીએ અને આમ કરવાથી, તે ખાતરી કરશે કે અમારી યુવા

Mission

Our mission is to promote unification of Gadher families.  Together we aim to celebrate our heritage, traditions, festivals, customs and identity.  In doing so, we will be upholding our values, creating awareness of who we are, as well as encouraging and educating our young generation of our Hindu culture and religion.  We aim to retain our identity whilst being a part of a multicultural society in which we live.

અમારો ધ્યેય Gadher કુટુંબોના એકીકરણને પ્રોત્સાહન આપવાનું છે. એકસાથે અમે અમારી વારસો, 
પરંપરાઓ, તહેવારો, રિવાજો અને ઓળખ ઉજવણી કરવાનું લક્ષ્ય રાખ્યું છે. આમ કરવાથી, અમે
અમારા મૂલ્યોને જાળવી રાખીએ છીએ, અમે કોણ છીએ તે જાગૃતિ ઉભો કરીએ છીએ, સાથે સાથે અમારા
હિન્દુ સંસ્કૃતિ અને ધર્મની યુવા પેઢીને પ્રોત્સાહન આપવું અને શિક્ષણ આપવું. બહુસાંસ્કૃતિક સમાજનો એક
ભાગ છે, જેમાં અમે જીવીએ છીએ ત્યારે અમારી ઓળખ જાળવી રાખવાનો અમારો હેતુ છે.

Fruition to date

The cornerstone in the evolution of Gadher Parivar was the incredible family friendships and diaspora relationships from all over the World.  It all began with invitations to such Gadher families and friends to meet up and share in the festivities of the day.  Subsequent intense work by our elders who had a vision to create a dynamic and integrated community inclusive of all backgrounds, cultural, religious beliefs and Kurdevi / Kuldevi differences, a vibrant community was born. This vision to reality was subsequently propagated around the time when new arrivals into the United Kingdom in the 1960s' and 1970s' were looking for a focus point and a community to belong to.  Whilst participation of others was exciting and expansive, very soon individualism kicked in and many slowly stopped participating. Today, a stronger Gadher Parivar stands established with the initial vision of a forum for enthusiastic community members to meet and enjoy in a friendly and relaxed manner whilst paying homage to our Kurdevis. The Gadher Parivar get-togethers remain one of a very few gatherings with refreshing and independent atmosphere. Additionally, the young generation are encouraged to participate fully. This is an ever expanding Gadher community that stands to grow as more younger, educated youth of today with vision come 'on-board' to propagate our concept further.

Reality

An expansive network of Gadher families in various parts of United Kingdom and world- wide stands established and thrives on mutual trust and friendship / relationship. To this day, Gadher Parivars' outstanding success is due to the undiminished enthusiasm of unique groups of people, their elders and similar minded people from all over the world, returning each year for Mataji's Nivad, Diwali, Norta celebrations and more!

Challenges per se

The biggest conceptual challenge inherent in our community lies not only in the diaspora’s high degree of complexity, but also with the changing world of today and the erosion of many values. Often, many communities may or may not nurture or encourage free flow of ideas for the fear of departure from our roots.  Often, such Organisations are burdened with bureaucracy, family bickering, jealousy or lack of education, which can often leave younger family members perplexed and questioning. This together with orthodoxies often overwhelms the enthusiasm of the uninformed young generation per se.  We strive to prevent such complexities from crossing the boundaries pertinent to ‘Gadher Parivar’ as reflected in its genesis.

Gadher Ethos

Our ethos is unity and a forum for open interactions where novel ideas could be nurtured. Intense work over the years by our elders, has sculptured this Community to its present day status and stature.  It continues to grow, bringing together members from all over the country.  We remain determined to retain and maintain our tradition, culture, beliefs, roots, and above all, our religion – all this establishes our ‘identity’!

ઇથોસ

અમારા સિદ્ધાંતો એકતા છે અને ખુલ્લી ક્રિયાપ્રતિક્રિયાઓ માટે એક મંચ છે જ્યાં નવલકથાઓનો વિકાસ થઈ શકે છે. અમારા વડીલો દ્વારા વર્ષોથી તીવ્ર કામ, આ સમુદાયને તેના હાલના દરજ્જા અને કદથી ઢંકાયેલો છે. તે વધતું જાય છે, સમગ્ર દેશમાં તમામ સભ્યોને એક સાથે લાવવામાં આવે છે. અમે અમારી પરંપરા, સંસ્કૃતિ, માન્યતાઓ, મૂળો, અને ઉપરના બધાને જાળવી રાખવા અને અમારા ધર્મને જાળવી રાખવા માટે નક્કી છીએ - આ બધું અમારી 'ઓળખ' છે!

We are proud of our Logo which shows an elephant decorated in style - it signifies the following:

• Depicts our strength and stability
• Elephants can be Indian or African or from elsewhere - like our diaspora
• Elephants are majestic creatures  - depicts our pride and endurance
• Lord Ganesh with an 'elephant head' removes obstacles - we are  blessed
• We value our unity - hence the slogan of 'unity'

અમને આપણા લોગો પર ગૌરવ છે જે શૈલીમાં સુશોભિત હાથીને બતાવે છે - તે નીચે દર્શાવે છે:

• અમારી તાકાત અને સ્થિરતા દર્શાવે છે
• હાથીઓ ભારતીય અથવા આફ્રિકન અથવા અન્ય જગ્યાએ હોઈ શકે છે - જેમ કે અમારા ડાયસ્પોરા

Looking back, jealousy, envy, resentment, grudges, suspicion and often lack of education, has in the past held our community and individuals back  - these weaknesses negate otherwise progressive attitude and progress - we should all strive to better ourselves as well as respect each and every individual in our community and outside.
